Status of AdvancED Reports to Complete Prior to External Review
  • Self Assessment (leadership team, in progress) based on feedback from Staff Perception Survey
    • Identify Indicator-level rubric placement, supporting artifacts (evidence documents), and construct a Standard narrative that addresses the four questions:
      • What were the areas of strength you noted?
      • What were areas in need of improvement?
      • What actions are you implementing to sustain the areas of strength?
      • What plans are you making to improve the areas of need?
    • How do we present this information to the large group on January 3rd?
      • Begin with overview of the meeting and how much time will be spent on activities; let staff know that we will be done at 2:00 p.m.
      • Break into five groups and have each group review a standard with the Leadership Team Member that reviewed it. Then have each group summarize to the large group.
        • Where are we strong and supportive evidence.
      • Look at the agency and determine strengths and areas that need improvement.
  • Executive Summary (review for accuracy and comprehensiveness)
  • Stakeholder Feedback Diagnostic (review for accuracy and comprehensiveness)
      • Need to figure how to bridge gap between ESU 17 and teachers.
      • Communication that is given to Superintendents does not always get passed on to teachers.
        • Newsletter or agency supplement of some type would be ways to pass this information on to teachers.

      • Look at improvement goals to update our improvement plan to current objective strategies and activities.

    • 1 Assurances incomplete: Security and Crisis Management Plan
    • Review the Security and Crisis Management Plan that Stephanie prepared for ESU #17. The ESU staff will review on Jan 3.
      • Scavenger Hunt with staff on January 3rd.
      • When this plan is official it will be placed on the website.

Following the Agenda Items for this meeting, the Leadership Team chose a new name for the Tech Center, since the Media Center has now transitioned into this building. The new name of the building is the ESU #17 Training Center.
